Alex has been involved in fitness all his life. From athlete to student to trainer, Alex has approached fitness from nearly every angle possible and has learned to appreciate the life-long benefits it provides. After the culmination of his athletic career and his graduation from Albion College with a BS in Exercise Science, Alex knew he would stay involved in fitness for the rest of his life. He followed up his undergraduate work with a Master’s degree in Physiology from Michigan State University.
Athletics and fitness have always been a major part of my life.
Growing up I was involved in multiple sports and continued with soccer at Adrian College while earning my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
I’m passionate about helping people commit to healthy habits in order to reach goals that will enrich their lives.
My name is Lexi Shafer. I went to Eaton Rapids Public Schools, and have always been active and played many sports, consisting of basketball, softball, volleyball, and track. Although I’ve done multiple sports growing up, nothing ever sparked my interest like running or hurdles. In high school I became interested in lifting weights and yoga. I enjoy doing yoga on my rest days, or times I just need to give myself a break.
I now go to Aquinas College where I continue to do hurdles for their track and field team. When I am back home, I work for Smart Strength and Conditioning, and take advantage of already being at the gym every day. For fun I love to go for longer runs outside.
